Adelsen,  is currently seeking a proactive and organized Temporary HR Coordinator for our client in the vibrant Retail sector. Located in the heart of Calgary, our client is a fast-growing retail chain known for its commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive HR experience in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting initial phone screenings.
  • Coordinate onboarding and training sessions for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR information system.
  • Provide support in the administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in coordinating employee engagement activities and events.
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
  • Support the HR team in implementing HR initiatives and projects.
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion and maintain high levels of confidentiality.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an HR support role, experience in the retail industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
