Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Compliance

Adelsen is committed to ensuring that all individuals, including those with disabilities, have equal access to our services and information. We are dedicated to meeting the accessibility standards outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and continuously work to enhance the accessibility of our website and services.

We strive to provide accessible customer service by:Communicating with individuals with disabilities in ways that take their needs into account.Allowing assistive devices, service animals, and support persons as required to ensure full participation.Training our employees on how to interact and communicate with individuals with various types of disabilities.Ensuring that our physical locations are accessible, with accommodations such as ramps and accessible entrances.

3. Accessible Website and Digital ContentAdelsen is working to ensure that our website and digital content comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as required by the AODA. This includes:
Ensuring that text is readable and scalable for users with visual impairments.
Providing text alternatives for non-text content, such as images and videos.
Designing the website to be navigable using a keyboard and screen readers.
Implementing measures to improve accessibility for users with various disabilities.
We are continually evaluating our website to improve its accessibility and enhance the user experience for all visitors.

5. Training for Staff
Adelsen is committed to training our employees on AODA requirements and best practices for serving individuals with disabilities. This training includes:

How to use assistive devices, service animals, and support persons.
Procedures for addressing accessibility issues that may arise while serving individuals with disabilities.

6. Modifications to This Policy
We are committed to continuously improving accessibility and may update this policy as necessary to ensure compliance with AODA standards and other accessibility regulations. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
